We also unpacked a round of our awesome crinkle tanks and tunic hoodies, both if which feel like

Denim, denim…come and GET ‘EM! Enjoy two new styles from NYDJ, a dressy deep indigo trouser cut and an ultratrendy bootcut in a soft, lightweight spring denim. The deep blue features a nigh waist to fit fuller bellies, while the gray pair is more of a midrise to accommodate smaller waists and womanly hips. Gorgeous! We were really excited to see these and Amanda took the gray pair but immediately.

Finally, we have some new “cheap-n-chic” options from LA-based label, Mai Tai! The staff-fave “flippy skirt” is available once again, and here is a new babydoll dress in a fresh purpley-blue. Happy and swishy, the neckline and bodice offer girly detailing and the length can translate to a dress for shorter gals and a versatile tunic for those with longer legs. This piece also comes in a neutral taupe and of course basic black.

Greetings gorgeous! As usual, we’re busy bees unpacking lots of new shipments for your weekend shopping pleasure!

Just in from Kiyonna, a TON of their awesome babydoll tops with wonderful pintucking detail on the neckline! Soft and sweet, this top highlights womanly assets and can go from work to play with no problem. Check out the pretty magenta, on-trend purple, happy happy happy yellow, and of course sleek black. We also received their stunning Grecian maxidress in clean black and adorable purple, so tall gals rejoice — this dress is all sorts of awesome on gals five eight and up. Featuring a looky-loo plunging neckline, feminine flutter sleeves, and dropped-babydoll waist, this dress is a fabulous statement piece that will take you through the summer and straight into fall with a pashmina and bitchin’ boots.

Cheap-n-chic is all the rage in the front of the store, and we just put out two new tops for $35 that are perfect for a fun night out! Check out the Joan Jett-esque “guitar Godess” tee, or the hilarious zebra tee in black or gray. Hipsters can pair any of these tops with skinny jeans for an on-trend nightlife look that will turn heads on the dance floor.

bandlu sent us a bunch of their new scoopneck babydoll dresses, complete with owls and lock-n-key graphics! Bra-friendly straps and a slight scoopneck are working on all sorts of body types and for all sorts of casual offices and weekend adventures. Check out all the kickass colorways, including emerald green, smoke gray, and dusty purple. We also received a gorgeous paisley maxidress in turquoise and black that is all about major cleavage, and a darling flutter sleeve dress in black and gray trimmed with a mint hemline.

Mark your calendars! Inspired by my own positive experiences with Pilates and yoga, vive la femme is hostessing a unique networking event to bring together bodyworkers and plus-size women on Saturday, July 25th from 5p to 7p. Confirmed attendees include Nourhy Chiriboga of NOW Studio, Jessica Rask of Bikram Yoga Andersonville, and Abi Lynn, a massage therapist and doula. The vive la femme staff hopes the event will encourage plus-size women to speak directly with instructors about their fears and perceptions, and give healers and teachers a chance to reach out to an often overlooked audience. This event is free, but we’d love an RSVP to make sure we have enough nibblies for everyone. Call or email for more information!

Back from Olivia Harper, more babydolls in periwinkle or black with the front slash detailing!  These frocks work well on petites and hourglass shapes.  Super chic and very unique, our darling staffer Hannah took one and wore in with legging and sandals, and we’ve also seen it work wonderfully for outdoor weddings and business travelers.

Got sundress?  Check out the new ruched-top tube maxi dresses from our awesome junior LA label in awesome patterns and colorways of white/floral, cream/brown/turquoise and purple/orange.  Amanda just snagged one and is popping it with a Kiyonna summer cardigan in berry, and I tried the purple/orange one with a tangerine topper and LOVE-DED IT.

Also, just in from killer LA label Mai Tai, a sweet floral sundress PERFECT for those with small chests and womanly hips.  As usual, you know who you are!  Colorways are teal/tangerine and yellow/purple, and the straps are adorned with a funky wooden bead.  Adorable!

Finally, we have a MAJOR shipment from Missphit, including a reorder on the floaty lavender or black swing blouse in summer silk, and two new darling blouses — one a button-down gingham in black/white or red/white, the other a ruffle front button in deep turquoise or sleek black.  So cute for picnics and BBQs!
