vive la femme has flipped for fall and our latest shipments reflect the new season’s most stylish silhouettes, flattering colors, and girly detailing. It’s not a week at vive la femme unless a new dress shows up, and here she is! Check out this darling wrap dress in soft silverlight and flirty periwinkle. Cozy against curves and popped with a girly ruffle detailing, this versatile frock is an easy go-to for a late summer/early fall wardrobe. Pair with kitten heels and a clutch and smile like you mean it for maximum fashion impact!

We just unpacked a hella major Comfy shipment and we’re loving on it! Here’s Maggie is a slouchy layering jacket in their signature periwinkle and muted gray paired with a swing tank with a supacute butterfly print!

We also are layering this tie-front jacket with all sorts of pop tanks, as the soft dusty green and rich wineberry colors are nothing short of autumnal exuberance!

We also brought in a series of mix-and-match bottoms, as shown here with the new long tank and menswear-inspired pinstripe jacket.

Junior plus shoppers will love our latest arrivals from Missphit, a vive la femme favorite for gals size 12-16! This tunic-style sweater offers a delightfully retro-inspired cut in a gorgeous range of modern colors: soft lilac, dove gray, and antiques turquoise.

We also brought in this mod-licious black and white tank top that could not be any cuter for a soul/mod dance party, or wearing with oversized black sunglasses and pink lippy — very Mary Quant!

I broke my own rule about reorders and brought in this black and gray hoodie again, because it is awesome…that is all. Fashion factoid: a smart, structured topper jacket can easily go from denim to dresses and work to weekend for optimized style mileage!

Heavens to Murgatroid! vive la femme has been inundated with a no less than three major shipments of wonderful and whimsical tops! Without further ado…

Out first round of late summer/fall preview Comfy has come in and it is just precious. Here’s Maggie in the tiered cardy, in a deep teal and lovely plum. Perfect with any basic layering piece, this versatile cardy has been going to jeans and skirts with effortless aplomb! Oh, and this slouchy vest is muted gray and heathered merlot is just delicious for a curve-friendly nod to menswear without sacrificing a womanly silhouette. Finally, this dual-layered longsleeve tee taps into an “intergalactic desert” vibe very much like what was worn in Star Wars on Tatooine. No, I am not kidding.

Gals looking to shore up their work wardrobe will love this crisp buttondown in both a power crimson and versatile ecru. Festooned with military-inspired “workshirt” detailing, this piece from NYDJ is amazing on gals with fuller bosoms, believe it or not! Check out this new flutter sleeve style from CenneV in deep smoky wine and bright happy turquoise, as well as a classic tiered sundress in a riotous floral pattern from one of our cheap-n-chic LA labels. Both are super bra-friendly and totally comfortable!

We also have this cutie-pie ruffle from dress from LucieLu which is just precious, as well as this black dropwaist with floral detailing on the neckline!All shoes are from Kathy K, mai oui!

We also have some great new tops, including this superchic sleeveless duster vest in marine blue and juicy boysenberry. So uber-cute with denim! We also snagged a bitchin’ sleeved vest with a street chic sparkle/ tattoo pattern on the back. These are great power pieces with lots of oomph and above all feel like pajamas, which is an excellent combination!

We also unpacked this fabulous professional piece, a front tie blouse that looks awesome with any dressy dark denim or these here sleek black pants. This blouse comes in bright blue or rich berry, travels like a dream, and offers a timelessly stylish silhouette.

Finally, we have a slew o’ skirts! Here’s a naughty nautical number, which goes back to any black tank or tee for a fresh seasonal look. And we have some signature a-line skirts by Amanda from Redskew in wonderful summer colors and patterns! Pop a crisp blouse or cutesy tank with these pieces, slip into some ballet flats, and you are good to go!

We are ignoring the current Roman calendar and making up our own this week at vive la femme! Welcome to the lovely month of FROCKTOBER, where dresses of all cuts and colors are a daily occurrence!

Our first round of dresses is a glorious partnership of color and cut! Amanda models our newest range of fun frocks from igigi. We got flowers! We got polka dots! We got colorblocking! Perfect for day weddings, any fancy brunch, or summer travel, these dresses are easy seasonal styles with lots of pop, fun, and sass. Three of the dresses have a nicely structured sleeve, and the sleeveless piece comes with oh-so-bra-friendly straps.

How about some vintage-inspired looks? Check out our most recent delivery of sundresses in lightweight cotton. We have a great range of little black dresses for alfresco cocktail soirees and a few floral options for more causal affairs. Very unique with lots of moxie and flair, these pieces are adorable with classic jewelry such as pearls and clutches for a sleek homage to ladylike retro-metro appeal.

Oooooh, a few more snuck in…how cute is this bandana-print babydoll as modeled by the always-adorable Stephanie 2.0? The range of colors is such to please any preferred color palette and what could be more summary that this picnic-table print? This piece is just too cute. Too cute, I tell you! We also unpacked a few empire-waisted/a-line dresses in throwback florals with ruffled sleeves and a longer hemline. And to top it off here’s a fabulous maxidress with a bandeau top that is doing really well on gals with smaller busts and fuller booties.

We’re not done yet! vive la femme just brought in the first range of Gayla Bentley’s new diffusion line, one of her Traditional Wrap blouses perfect for the workplace! The turquoise/gold would be very smart with any dark denim bottom or brown skirt, and the black/white is wonderfully crisp and clean with any clean black trouser. These blouses are running full and really are working for gals with full shoulders and bustlines.

A few more details…the Kathryn Kerrigan Shoe Boutique is open this weekend on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! I am now the owner of a shoe store exclusively carrying the Kathryn Kerrigan line of handmade footwear, so come check out our range of shoes in sizes 9 and up! We have a ton more ballet flats in all sorts of darling colors, including a shimmery pink, bright green, and deep lapis blue. These flats are FLYING as they are truly some of the most comfortable footwear you will ever have the pleasure of wearing!

We also just brought in a superpremium sandal, the Maribelle. The Kathryn Kerrigan Maribelle is a hip, California-cool boho thong sandal. The butterscotch camel suede brings this shoe to life! Cuffed collar and cut-out detail around heel is funky and stylish, and the slightly angled sole is the epitome of summer chic.
